A bunch of cards…

Here’s a bunch a cards I created over the past few days.  I am working on a stash for Babycakes and my craft fair.  All these pretty little guys are propped up in a box full of corks.

I looooove this My Mind’s Eye paper. It makes me feel happy and springy.  It’s from the new Good Day Sunshine line.

This is a pretty Easter card loaded with Easter goodies.  Maybe too many goodies? But just look at those sparkly rhinestones.  I just couldn’t stop myself from adding more stuff.

I used a new SU stamp for the sentiment on this one.  I’ve been wanting to ink it up in all different colors like this.

I want to marry this new lamp stamp, from the My Mind’s Eye Stella and Rose collection.  The whole line is dreamy. I made that tag with a hodge podge of stamps.  I dig it.

And this card has a fancy bird cage rub on, with sparkly letters letters.  Those letters were gold but I re-purposed them black with black ink.

That’s all my little creations for now………

Mojo Monday 179 and I am famous!

Here’s my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  I picked up this cute itty bitty Unity owl stamp at The Crop Shop yesterday.  I went in to pick up some white embossing powder, and left without the powder (they didn’t have any), but with lots of cute new stuff. I am totally in love with all the new My Mind’s Eye designer papers.

So I don’t know if anyone remembers this blog post about me being really creepy.  When Papertrey Ink started their new radio show, I called in to ask a question and I totally stumbled all over my words at the end.  Well…last night I was blog creeping and listening to this week’s radio show, and I nearly peed my pants when I heard my voice calling in, “Hi this is Jessica calling from Boston, Massachusettes…”  I paused the show immediately, screamed and ran around the house.  I was soo mortified the “whole world” was going to hear me sound like a moron.  It was ridiculous, and Tim thought I might be dying.  So after I settled done, I went in for a listen.  Well, let me tell you, they must have some fantastic editing skills, because they made it work.  The end is a bit funny, but I don’t sound soo dumb.  I just hate my voice.  So I have been bragging to Tim about how all my idols at Papertrey Ink have heard my voice and now I’m famous.  He doesn’t think I’m famous, but was happy for me nonetheless.  Give it a listen here, you won’t hear me until about 3/4 of the way through.  So anyways, I asked for some photography tips and Lisa Johnson, gave us all some great pointers.  I have been using our “fancy” Canon Rebel XT for all my pics, but taking them in the kitchen.  It’s the brightest room in the house.  Or at least I thought it was until I took these pics of my card today out on the front porch.  No flash was used, and I think I like them much better.   So I will definitely be setting up shop out there from now on.  Thanks Lisa!

A little bit of everything

This card I made today has a little bit of everything on it.  I used lotssss of supplies.  I’m not sure if I ever have the right balance of stuff on my cards when I do this style.  But I’m trying.   So I got over the smell of the perfect pearls spray today, and used it on the doily.  In real life, it’s a shimmery pale red.  Not the red color I was hoping for, I’m going to have to try a different company I suppose.  I love that swallow.  I picked up that Revolution die at a craft yard sale over the summer.  I don’t know why someone didn’t want him.  I know he’s really happy in my craft room, where I promise not to neglect him anymore. I made those little letters that say mom myself, because I didn’t have any that worked and I have no mother’s day stamps.  When I get some, I plan to stamp Happy Mother’s Day inside.  I love that little flower tag I made.  Some recommendations on this card would be appreciated.  I like all the elements, don’t know about how I did with putting it all together.  Or some help with my photography, I think I like it better in real life.

Owls + Plaid + Notebook Paper = My favoritesss

Some of my fav papercrafting stuff is on this card: an owl, plaid paper and notebook paper.    I just love that owl’s little plaid belly.  I don’t have really any Easter or Mother’s Day stamps,  so I’m just going to make lots of other stuff until I order some.   I’m  sad that I haven’t  really liked many of the stamp sets I’ve seen.   And I think more stuff will be released in March, but I need to start making stuff now for my craft fair in April…oh, life is so diffucult!

Grandma Card

Tim happened to come up in the craft room while I was making this and he told me it looked like a Grandma card.  He thought I might be offended, but since  I love grandmothery things, I was unoffended.  You can’t tell from the picture, but I sprayed Tattered Angels all over this, so it’s pretty and shimmery.  It was my first time using the spray.  Sooo much better than the Perfect Pearls spray, that stuff smells retched.  And I grabbed another brand months ago that clogged right away so I could never use it.  Tattered Angels is a winner.  And I am, obsessed with Trader Joe’s gummy bears.  They are made with plant and vegetable extract, but that still doesn’t mean I should eat the whole bag.  I love candy.

Quilted Card

I am loving everything about quilted cards.  Kendra inspired me with her heart quilted card that she recreated after finding it on the Cosmo Cricket blog.  I found a tutorial on these cards over at Splitcoast Stampers as well.  So I had some time this morning, and made this cute little guy.  I know it seems a bit early for Easter cards, but I am doing my first craft fair on April 16th and I need to start making stuff for that.  It’s a Mother’s Day and Easter craft fair, so there will be lots more of that stuff coming up.  I’m not really sure what I have gotten myself into.

Vintage attempt

I decided today that I wanted to make a vintage card.  Kendra inspired me with her watch card.  This card took me too long.  I just kept staring at it and didn’t know what to add next. I used a lot of supplies.  I’ll add them later. Maybe.
