Embellish Coloring Color Trends Challenge

I always find the designer’s cards over at the Embellish Blog so inspiring.  This challenge was to color with the colors in the photo.

I used my Copics to "color" over the stamped sentiment.  I didn't have the exact colors, my Copic collection is less than impressive.  But I did my very best with what I had.

I love that corrugated paper. It's a little shimmery.  But you can't tell.

Moxie Fab 3

Another Moxie Fab World botanical challenge entry.  I got carried away.  I made 2 more even, but need to limit my submissions, so I am only sharing 3.   I made a cute little tag using some floral fabric I picked up really cheap a while back.  Sorry about the weird blurry photo, I’m still working on my skills.

I just die cut it with a Sizzix die and my Cuttlebug.  Worked like a charm.  I also cut some burlap for the back to make it sturdier.  Then I applied a coat of Mod Podge to the burlap and stuck on the flower fabric.  I used my heat gun to dry it quickly.  It didn’t start a fire, so I say you can do it at home too.   I stamped right onto the fabric with Memento ink, sewed up a little blue crochet trim flower and ruffled up more trim for the bottom.

And that bottle of wine that tag is on, is an awesome jumbo bottle from my husband’s work.  It’s 1.5 liters of Chardonnay.  Yummyyyy!

Moxie Fab – Fanatical About Botanical

I finally had a relaxing weekend where I was able to whip up a few cards.  I realized it’s been awhile when I had to think about where to score the card base and stuff.  Since I was so out of it, I decided to keep these cards rather simple.  I am in love with the botanical trend, and Moxie Fab World currently has a challenge to make a card or craft botanically.  So here are my last minute cards…

And a close up.  The pretty flowers are from October Afternoon’s 5 & Dime.  The “make a big wish” was a one dollar bargain from Michael’s.  And the turquoise accents are pretty Perfect Pearls.
