Twisted Sketches #83

It’s time again for another sketch from Twisted Sketches. This week’s twist was… Black.

This card was sooo easy.  I used a stamp set from The Craft’s Meow that I won a few months ago so over at the Embellish Magazine Blog. After stamping my mustaches, I used my Martha Stewart scoring board and scored a couple lines.  Probably took less than 5 minutes….badass.

Be sure to join in on all the fun over at Twisted Sketches.

Moxie Fab – Autumn Woods

Aren’t autumn colors just dreamy??!  I looove this week’s Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World.

I knew what I wanted to make right away.  I cut out squares and taped them to the Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder so they’d stay in place. I rubbed a cream ink pad over to highlight the wood grain like in the photo.   Then I made a little tag and stamped “happy fall” with a Unity stamp set.  Popped up the squares on dimensionals and I was done.

Oh and I wandered around my yard, as it started to rain, and gathered up some red leaves, a fallen pine cone, and some pine needles (at least they were finally put to use in a positive way, which is much better than those little buggers being tracked all over my kitchen.) I propped up my fall goodies and snapped a few quick pics on my deck.

I love being more adventurous with my pics.  I think I might even splurge on a flower frog.  Cuz sometimes those cards don’t want to stand up and I get frustrated and swear a lot, especially when it’s starting to rain.  I think a rusty frog might save the day.  Ebay here I come…..

The Play Date Cafe

It sure has been awhile. I’ve been busy…moving, unpacking, sorting, working, and trying to figure out life in a new house.  I am psyched that I now have myself a craft room with heat! No more attic for me.  I have wonderful plans to decorate and paint in here, but really need to do that to the house first.  The best part is my computer is in my craft room.  I just need a Keurig and a fridge and I’ll never have to leave.

I have been crafting up some cards, but this is my first challenge in a while.  Andddd I have been submitting my cards over at Twisted Sketches too, just haven’t had a chance to blog ‘em.

Anyways, since I’m sure you hardly care at all about all my babbling…

Here’s my card for this weeks color challenge at The Play Date Cafe. Mauve, Eggyolk, and Artichoke.  I used purple with smudgy cream ink on top to create mauve.  It’s a bit off but I think it’s pretty.
